"And through the understanding comes abruptly and at long last a glimpse of old reality, indestructible, hiding among the creatures wild and tame and the stones and the plants, and in the teeming dirt."

    Chapter Meetings

Our Alamo Area Chapter meets on the second Tuesday of each month usually either at the Bexar County office of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service (Texas Cooperative Extension) or at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Check the newsletter or the home page of this Web site every month for the actual location of each monthly meeting.

We usually have two meetings: A general meeting at 7:00 PM where a guest speaker presents a topic of interest for Master Naturalists and which is usually approved for advanced training hours.

Beforehand, our chapter board of directors has a meeting usually at 5:15 PM to cover chapter business.

If you have a topic that you want added to the next meeting's agenda, please contact the chapter president.

    Chapter Board of Directors

Our Alamo Area Chapter has a board of directors to provide leadership and direction and various chapter committees to handle the many tasks needed to run our organization. If you are interested in helping, please read about the chapter goals first. Extra help is always appreciated!

We are also always interested in increasing our knowledge and understanding of the natural world and of the proper use and management of natural resources. If you have an expertise or experience in a topic that fulfills our goals as Master Naturalists and are willing to share it with us, or if you know someone who does, then please contact our outreach coordinator about giving a possible presentation during one of our monthly chapter meetings.

Thank you! Your visit counts with us!
